Abstract:
This report describes a brief overview about the incident ocurred on the Soviet Union (URSS) In 1983. On this date their early warning radar indicated that a US missile was headed towards the URSS, but the alert was a system failure. No catastrophe did not happen because the radar operator was able to analyze the situation and realize that it was a system error. The human experience is even more important that the algorithms.
