Overleaf Server Pro 6.3 is available

August 31, 2026

We are pleased to announce Overleaf Server Pro 6.3! This release introduces improvements to document editing workflows, institutional theming capabilities, and updates to the LaTeX compilation environment and security infrastructure. You can read the full release notes here.

What’s new?

  • TeX Live 2026: For instances using Sandboxed Compiles, TeX Live 2026 is now available. This includes the latest updates to LaTeX packages and compilation tools. See the documentation for upgrade instructions and the release notes for details on what's changed.
  • Multi-tab Editor: Files can now be opened in different tabs within the editor, enabling users to switch between multiple files without losing their workspace context. This improvement reduces friction when working on multi-file projects.
  • Theme-Specific Branding: New configuration options OVERLEAF_HEADER_IMAGE_URL_LIGHT and OVERLEAF_HEADER_IMAGE_URL_DARK allow separate header logo images for light and dark interface themes. This enables organizations to maintain consistent branding across different user preferences.
